David C. Smith

David was a top-producing recruiter for two national executive search firms before developing his own management consulting and executive recruitment company, now known as Merit Consulting, Inc. Previously, he was Allied-Signal Technical Services’ (a division of Allied Signal Aerospace Corporation) Director of Environmental, Health and Safety, where he was integrally involved with management of engineering and operations improvements, and development of corporate organizational growth programs throughout the Technical Services division. Additionally, David served as an Environmental Manager for the State of Florida, where he worked closely with state and federal governmental regulatory agencies to implement progressive environmental programs in Florida. Throughout his executive search career, David has successfully trained and developed numerous executive search professionals, and also writes and speaks at the local and national level on progressive changes in the search industry. David earned his B.S. in Ecology from the University of Florida in 1984.

Paul J. Consbruck, Esq.

Paul has successfully recruited and placed executives and legal professionals with corporations and law firms throughout the United States. Prior to entering the recruiting industry, he was a partner in a law practice in Florida, and served as the law clerk for Chief Judge Robert Murphy of the Court of Appeals of Maryland in 1990. Paul received his B.S. with High Honors from the University of Florida in 1983, and earned his law degree from the College of William & Mary in 1989, before specializing in business law, real estate, and litigation, as a member of both the Maryland and Florida Bars.

Paul is also trained as a Corporate Coach, offering strategic planning seminars and executive coaching services to organizations and individual clients, and is a correspondent and guest columnist for several publications, writing on career development issues. He has served on the Florida Bar's Quality of Life and Career Committee, and is an affiliate of the Highlands Company, certified to administer the Highlands Natural Abilities Battery, a leading-edge assessment tool that enables individuals and groups to identify their natural talents for optimal performance.


Arthur H. Rogove
Vice President, Executive Director and Partner

Art has extensive hands-on knowledge in the areas of technology, operations, marketing, engineering and management recruiting, gained from his 35 years of industrial experience. His technical expertise includes polymers, coatings, adhesives, sealants, polymer processing, plastics, specialty chemicals, and steel fabrication. He has provided search services to many industries including industrial, pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology, and contract research organizations.

Art was the Vice President of Technology-Worldwide at Day International, and was Director of Technology for Saint Gobain Performance Plastics Div. of Companie de St. Gobain, one of the world's largest companies. Prior to joining Saint Gobain, Art served as Vice President of Operations and Technology at Electrocal; Director of Technology at Permacel, Nitto Denko; Vice President of Research and Development at Rexam Release; and Vice President, Corporate Development and Technology at Mortell Company. He holds one patent in mechanical design and two in chemical products.

Art holds a B.S. degree in Chemistry from LaSalle University, Philadelphia, and earned his MBA from Loyola University of Chicago in 1983. He is an active member of the American Chemical Society.


Patrick D’Errico

Pat brings over seven years experience in executive search. He has successfully built relationships with numerous Fortune 500 organizations specializing in finance, accounting, equipment leasing, banking, sales and operations recruiting. He began his career managing and growing technology vendor relationships with Copelco Capital, a large equipment finance organization. Pat then joined a start-up leasing company, Captive Leasing Services, which managed Danka Office Imaging’s captive leasing program. For the last seven years, he has used his financial background to help grow several national executive search practices. Pat earned a Bachelors Degree in English from Montclair State University.


Glenn J. Forte

As Vice President for Operations for a plastics pharmaceutical packaging firm, Glenn was instrumental in the successful development of its operations domain from its fledgling beginning in the late 1960s. He was responsible for manufacturing, quality, engineering, purchasing, and human resources. At the end of his tenure, Glenn was responsible for six pharmaceutical blow-molding factories, and two injection molding closure factories. With others, he holds two U.S. patents for the design and manufacture of a unique pharmaceutical tablet container. Glenn is a graduate of Kutztown State College with a B.A. degree, and Villanova University with a M.A. degree. He is currently a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Education in Executive Leadership and Human Resource Development at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. In 2004, he founded Collective Knowledge Advisors, LLC and is its president. Collective Knowledge Advisors provides clients with executive search services, and advice in matters of leadership and human resource development.


Rob Steiner, C.P.C.

Rob Steiner has been a Search Consultant since 1986, when he joined Management Search of New England. His recruiting expertise evolved with accounting professionals from the corporate sectors in manufacturing, banking, retail, healthcare and real estate syndication. Rob advanced his career in 1991 with Dussick Management, recruiting sales and marketing executives on a national level for major, consumer packaged goods clients. In 1995, he started his own search practice, representing emerging companies in telecommunications and data communications. Previously, he spent seven years in industrial electronics sales for aerospace, electronic and data technology applications. Rob became a Certified Personnel Consultant (C.P.C.) in 1990. He attended Southern Connecticut State University and majored in Communications.

 

Jeff Elliott

Jeff joined Merit Consulting at the beginning of 2008. Prior to an award winning career in real estate sales and development, Jeff had a distinguished career in the highest levels of government in Nebraska. Appointed by two Governors to run the largest public agency in the State, Jeff brings extensive finance and administration expertise to executive search. Jeff draws on his experience in accounting, human resources, engineering, marketing, purchasing, information technology, and sales to bring great insight to his search clients. He attended Nebraska Wesleyan University and majored in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting and Economics.

 

Dana Forte

Dana is a graduate of Rosemont College where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. She started her career in the financial industry as a Sales Assistant for Morgan Stanley working with clients on a daily basis ensuring each of their financial needs were met.

Dana increased her knowledge of the stocks, bonds, and mutual funds markets as she assisted Financial Advisors in developing client portfolios with the goal of achieving maximum diversity. After several years with Morgan Stanley, Dana accepted a position as an Underwriter with Mortgage Lenders Network, a subprime and wholesale lender. There, she worked directly with mortgage brokers evaluating residential loans compliance to company guidelines.

Her extensive contact with clients and management led to her interest in executive and professional recruiting, and in 2007 Dana joined Collective Knowledge Advisors and has since taken the lead in developing its executive search division. Experienced in several different industries, Dana specializes in recruiting Engineers of all levels for various industries including electronics, medical devices, automotive, heavy equipment and related manufacturing industries. She has gained significant experience and expertise in numerous engineering specialties, which include software, electrical, mechanical and chemical engineering in such diverse applications as Software Development, Hardware Design, Embedded Software Systems used in portable and stationary electronic applications, Systems Engineering and Configuration Management.
